Introducing our family to yours

Hi! This is Ben and Lauren from ‘Lauren & Ben Travels’. We figured that before we start sharing with you unique tips, tricks and destinations for you and your family, we should probably introduce ourselves first. We look forward to meeting you and helping your family with their vacation needs. Please feel free to contact us with any questions and our family will be happy to help yours in any way possible.

Ben: Let’s start at the beginning. Lauren and I actually knew each other when we were around 14 and both living around and in Greensboro, NC.

Lauren: They don’t need to know all that, just stick to the Disney stuff.

Ben: Okay. So fast forward 10 years. Lauren and I officially started dating and a little bit after that I started working for Disney…

Lauren: Fast-forward just a little more.

Ben: We both worked for Disney for about 2 years.

Lauren: Ben worked in many different locations and I worked at both Basin at the (then) Downtown Disney (now Disney Springs) and at Basin White in the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. I loved the smells and the atmosphere of both stores. They are each unique and fun in their own way.

Ben: I worked in internal communication for Global Park Operations, which handles operations for all domestic theme parks, and then at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. I was able to work with Joe Rhode when Pandora: The World of Avatar broke ground and learned a lot about the in’s and out’s of that park; I love that park, if you ever want to talk Animal Kingdom, let me know. I then worked in Guest Relations at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and learned how Disney delivers world-class service. While there I: sold tickets, helped Guests with disabilities, created itineraries for Guests and assisted with the new technology rollouts at the parks, including MyMagic+ and FastPass+. I then worked backstage on some internal applications that ensured all Cast Members were trained appropriately before they were staffed in a certain safety critical position.

Lauren: Ben and I loved our time at Disney. In our free time we would go visit the parks and resorts and try to drink it all in- there is so much to do. We tried different restaurants, stores, have ridden every ride multiple times (except for It’s a Small World and Everest, I’ve ridden those two rides more than I care to admit). I’ve even visited the parks pregnant before, and yes, you can still have a lot of fun at Disney while 39 weeks pregnant!

From our most recent Disney trip while we were pregnant with Jack. 39-weeks pregnant and Disney is doable ladies!

We now live in Charlotte, NC with our two kids: Cora and Jack and love our growing family.
We love Disney and want to share that experience and excitement with you and know that we can help you have a fun and enjoyable vacation, no matter your family dynamics.

Ben: Though we specialize in Disney vacations, we also can provide help with just about any other destination you are looking for: Universal, Cruises, All-Inclusive Resorts, you name the place- we can make it an adventure! The best part about it is: it's free for you (since the destination pays us)! Let us know how we can help you!
